Krasnodar, 19 February. The dismantlement of constructions erected illegitimately in the state forest lands is reportedly going on in Krasnodar krai. Since the beginning of this year, three constructions have been taken down. Last year, over 60 such buildings were dismantled in the region’s forests – three times more than over the previous six years. In addition to that, the register of unauthorised constructions was opened. The regional Ministry of Forestry is now maintaining claims for their dismantlement. Audits of local forest districts are also proceeding in the region. The issues of preservation of forest areas and correction of municipal development plans were discussed last week at a meeting chaired by Vice Governor Sergei Boldin.
“Since the beginning of the year, the owners have voluntarily dismantled three unauthorised constructions: two in the process of court trials, and one under a pre-action protocol,” he reported. “We continue to control the observance of the land law in Krasnodar krai.”
To prevent further construction activity in the forests, the municipal development plans are currently being audited to exclude forest areas from the boundaries of settlements. The work is to be completed by September 1, 2020.
