Krasnodar, 5 February. A selfie museum has reportedly opened in Sochi’s mountain cluster. The museum exhibits creative photo zones with professional lighting. Its organisers believe that this is how the visitors are becoming co-participants of the cultural life, spreading the beauty and contemporary art via their social networks. Eleven locations for selfies are located in a 200-square-metre area. When arranging the space of the museum, its organisers took into account social distancing requirements, which is why visiting the museum will comply with all epidemiological rules.
Such museum type is becoming more popular in Russia, and a number of publications from a certain tourist destination becomes an informal evaluation criterion for its popularity. Say, Instagram has about 30 million publications under hashtags of the names of Sochi, Anapa and Gelendzhik, the three most sought-after seaside resorts of Krasnodar krai. It is worth noting that the total number of tourist destination in the region exceeds 650.
