Krasnodar, 12 January. The number of registered daily COVID-19 cases in Krasnodar krai is nearing two hundred.
Last Saturday, the regional Ministry of Health Care reported about 188 new cases and 16 lethal outcomes; on Saunday – about 193 cases and 15 deaths.
It is sad that the number of lethal case among patients that had not reached the risky age group is not infrequent in the region. Last weekend, the list of victims included a 59-year-old male resident of Krasnodar, a 56-year-old female dweller of Krymsk, a 48-year patient from Anapa, a 51-year-old man died in Novorossiysk, and a 56-year-old woman died in Sochi.
Twenty-seven COVID hospitals are working in the region. At the end of December, 90 new cars were purchased in Krasnodar krai in aid of the physicians who visit their patients at home.
Svetlana Kharlamova, Head of the Krasnodar City Department of Public Health, stated that the epidemiological situation in the city is controlled but stably tense. She reminded that all local residents and visitors must wear face masks in all public places, including shops, railway stations, lifestyle facilities, public transport, taxi, parking lots and lifts, and when walking in the open air. Besides, it is required to observe a 1.5-metre social distancing.
