Krasnodar, 6 January. Ten new combat sports gyms will be built in Krasnodar krai in 2021.
The facilities are being built in the context of the regional program “Development of physical culture and sports.”
The gyms will open in the cities of Anapa and Armavir, and in Abinsk, Yeisk, Kanevskoi, Korenovsk, Krymsk, Pavlovsky, Tbilissky and Slaviansk rayons. By 2023, such facilities are to be built in all 44 municipalities of the region.
“The network of such centres is a mighty basis for physical training and upbringing of the strength of mind of our youth,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said. “Active boys and girls should spend their time here rather than in the streets. It doesn’t matter whether or not they become professional athletes, but martial arts will make them stronger and sturdier, and teach them to respect their rivals.”
Besides, eight gyms and two swimming pools are being built in Krasanodar and Kurganinsk rayon.
