Krasnodar, 29 December. The regional industrial production index has amounted to 97% by the end of the year. Thereby, the production volumes have dropped by 3% in main industries.
At the same time, the total amount of the shipped products exceeded 284 billion roubles, which was by 3.9% higher than last year.
As the pandemic commenced, many enterprises of light and chemical industries began to retune their productions to first-priority goods needed to prevent the spread of infection. Over forty companies managed to do so and set up production of individual protection devices, disinfectants and antiseptics, so that now they fully cover up the region’s need in these products. The regional budget was helping such companies. Say, several months after the outburst of the coronavirus diseases Armavir Rubber Plant became the nation’s largest producer of medical gloves. It makes up to 100,000 pairs of gloves a day.
A special support program for the machine-building industry was also launched this year. Thirteen companies received 60.6 million roubles as subsidies. The plan for next year is 80 million roubles.
