Kind New Year Surprises

Krasnodar, 22 December. Over 560,000 Kuban children will get the President’s ‘New Year’ welfare payment. 

According to the decision voiced by President Vladimir Putin during his annual big press conference held last week, every family with children aged up to seven years will receive 5,000 roubles per child. The payment will be given to the parents, adopters, tutors and trustees of children that were less than eight years old as on December 17.

“According to preliminary data, this lump-sum payment will be dispensed to more than 560,000 Kuban children. Its total amount will exceed 2.8 billion roubles,” the regional branch of the Russian Pension Found announced. 

All Pension Fund’s customer support services throughout the country worked last weekend, on December 19 and 20, taking disbursement applications from the parents. 

Most of the families will receive 5,000 roubles proactively, according to the principle of ‘social treasury,’ that is without having to submit an application. The application will be needed if a child was born or adopted within the period starting from last July, or if the parents have not received any of the disbursements granted by the Pension Fund during the current year.
