Krasnodar, 27 November. The alpine resort of Krasnaya Poliana has been acknowledged a winner of the contest held by Rosturizm (Federal Tourist Agency), and it will get a grant to develop its network of nature trails. The sum of three million roubles will be spent to install navigation, recreation spots at scenic viewpoints, and all infrastructure required for nature tourism. Additionally, boards will be installed along the routes featuring information about the history, flora and fauna of Krasnaya Poliana. The project will start next spring.
Commenting on the success, Andrei Krukovsky, Director of Krasnaya Poliana Resort said: “Our resort is trying not simply to get more people involved in healthy lifestyle but to educate them through impressions. This is part of our strategy of the resort’s sustainable development. We want to hand over our values by inspiring people to take care of nature and preserve the historical and cultural heritage of Krasnaya Poliana.”
Owing to the nature trails, the tourists will be able to see the unique and pristine nature of the West Caucasus.
