Krasnodar, 24 November. The process of pulling down unauthorized tower blocks is actively going on in Sochi. About twenty such unauthorized blocks have already been demolished; the work on three other large edifices continues.
Altogether, it has been resolved to pull down 41 illegitimately erected buildings in the city; five high rises may soon follow the trend.
According to the Mayor’s Office’s press service, the developer of the Teatralnaya Residential Cooperative erected 13 storeys instead of six as it had been permitted; now the building is to be brought to conformity with the declared height. The high rise at Prosveshcheniya street in Adler had not had any permits whatsoever – however, a nine-storey building of the total area of about 4,000 sq m appeared on the site officially eligible for the construction of a single-family private cottage. The court decided to completely pull down the illegitimate edifice.
The developer of the site at Volzhskaya street had been issued a permit for a private single-storey house. However, it erected a three-storey house and even built the constructions for the fourth storey. The developer even sold out the flats in this house.
