Cluster Approach Looks More Efficient

Krasnodar, 10 November. A single tourist zone will reportedly be opened in Sochi’s mountain cluster. 

The initiative of merging the potential of all alpine resorts of Krasnaya Poliana was voiced at a session of the city’s Council on Development of Recreational and Tourist Complex. Gazprom, Rosa Khutor, Krasnaya Poliana resorts, as well as the Sochi National Park, the Caucasian Natural Reserve and the Skypark Amusement Park consented to the idea of a single marketing space. The cooperation agreement is to be implemented under the patronage of the city administration. The key direction of the future activities will be improvement of the service quality and alpine skiing infrastructure. The parties agreed to have the agreement started by the beginning of the alpine skiing season. 

The plans include constructing a single network of environmental hiking routes of the total length of over a thousand kilometres, and establishing a network of bikeways to connect the mountain resorts with Krasnaya Poliana. The alpine skiing complexes have already begun the preparation for the upcoming winter season.
