Krasnodar, 6 November. Deputies of the regional Legislative Assembly are pinning their hope on the federal centre to help develop sewerage systems at the Kuban resorts.
The request of the local deputies was addressed to Vladimir Yakushev, federal Minister of Construction and Housing and Utility Services.
The total length of the sewerage systems at the seaside exceeds 2,500 km, a considerable part of which needs repair, reconstruction or replacement.
As for the deepwater effluent lines, some of them are also showing serious physical wear and tear.
The development of main sewers and municipal wastewater disposal distribution networks also needs peculiar attention.
The MPs stated that the development of design documents for the reconstruction and construction of required communal infrastructure facilities will need serious financial support, which cannot be fully provided at the cost of the regional and municipal budgets only.
The LA Chairman Yuri Burlachko was quoted as saying that “without the federal centre’s support, the solution of this issue may be delayed for an unjustifiably long period of time.”
