Krasnodar, 29 October. Governor Veniamin Kondratiev presided at a regional meeting summoned to discuss the efficiency of environmentalist activities performed in the framework of the specialized national project “Ecology.”
By now, three water supply facilities have been built in the region as part of the project. They will supply water to over 14,000 people.
The water-intake facility was reconstructed in the villages of Zaria and Rassvet near Anapa, whose dwellers had to consume tankered potable water.
In Volnoe, Uspensky rayon, a new public water supply was opened. Another new water main was built in the village of Zavetny by Armavir; currently the process of acceptance of the works is underway. Next year, three water storage facilities are to be built in Goriachy Kluch, Belorechensk, and Novokubansk.
During the meeting, Mr. Kondratiev also instructed the regional administration to prepare the documents required to enter the Kuban rivers rehabilitation program into a national project. The initial stage of the new project provides for bank protecting works, and increase of the flowage of six sectors of the riverbeds in Dinskoi, Korenovsk, Brukhovetsky and Kalininsky rayons. Their total length is 66.2 km. The estimated cost of the works is 2.7 billion roubles.
