Krasnodar, 27 October. The statistical data announced by the regional Ministry of Health Care have shown that Krasnodar krai is facing a COVID-19 explosion. Say, on Monday, October 26, the diagnosis was confirmed in 131 patients; six patients died. Last weekend, the number of the registered cases equaled to 254, with 12 lethal outcomes.
Additional beds were opened last week in several hospitals, following the increased need. For instance, 200 additional beds were deployed in the Hospital No. 3 in Sochi, and 80 beds – in the Krasnodar City Hospital No. 1.
The total number of bedspaces available at hospitals equals to 5,054.
In addition to that, it was announced that an entire ward (400 beds) of the regional hospital for war veterans will be used to treat coronavirus patients. It will be done to render effective medical aid to elderly people, veterans and disabled persons suffering from COVID-19. Now the hospital is being furnished with oxygen, artificial lung ventilation apparatuses, medicines and personal protective gears.
