Krasnodar, 16 October. The landscaping work of a long-abandoned public area has reportedly finished in Krasnodar.
What is at issue is the renewed Vishnyakovsky Gardens. The first part of its green zone was landscaped in 2017, now the second part was transfigured. The works were performed in the framework of the federal program “Formation of comfortable urban environment.” Now the area of the gardens is 2.5 hectares. “Initially it had been planned to build a hotel on the site of the second part of the gardens. But our initiative was supported by local people and Governor Veniamin Konrdatiev, and with their support we managed to return this area back to municipal ownership,” Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov explained.
The upgrading of the second part of the gardens began in March 2020 and finished at the end of August. In September, trees and shrubs were planted on the spot. The first utility to open was the 12,000 sq m skatepark, a favourite place for fans of extreme sports. The list of popular places also includes the children’s playground and the sports ground.
