Krasnodar, 9 October. Last week, at the second session of the fourth convocation of the Anapa Resort City Council, Vasili Shvets, acting city mayor appointed by the governor, was elected full-fledged mayor.
Valeri Korolev, Deputy Head of the Selection Board, informed that they had decided to register three candidates, but one of them had withdrawn from candidacy.
The two candidates voiced their programs. Acting mayor Vasili Shvets named development of resort facilities as his first priority.
“All forces of our team will be directed to make Anapa more attractive and more comfortable for its inhabitants and visitors. Naturally, there are lots of problems in various spheres. But I am confident that there will be many qualitative changes over the future five years, and that these changes will be visible and meaningful.”
The second candidate, Aleksandr Kolesnikov, Director of Novaya Zemlia Farm, stated that he sees development of the agricultural sector as one of his priorities, and that he knows how to improve this sphere.
