Award for Efficiency

Krasnodar, 24 September. The Kuban region has reportedly received one billion roubles to repair the motor raods. 

The money was allocated by the federal Government to the regions that have accomplished this year’s plan on the national project “Safe and high-quality motor roads” ahead of schedule. Krasnodar krai was one of the prizewinning regions. 

“The yearly plan was fulfilled in July. It allows us to get federal subsidies for the next year and to proceed to works ahead of schedule. The region has already received over a billion roubles – this sum will suffice to repair over 82 km of roads,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted. “It is a weighty support for us, the more so under the current difficult economic situation caused by the pandemic. The repair works will begin soon in Novorossiysk, Sochi, and at regional roads.” 

The said national project will be functioning until 2024. Its aims are to reduce the number of traffic accidents and the mortality rate caused by accidents, and to increase the share of regional roads complying with normative standards by at least 50%.
