Krasnodar, 15 September. The daily mortality from the coronavirus infection soared up sharply in Krasnodar krai at the end of last week.
On Monday, the regional Ministry of Public Health informed of five lethal cases. The victims of the new diseases were a 73-year-old female patient from Krasnodar, an 81-year-old dweller of Armavir, two elderly patients (80 and 86 years) of the Infection Hospital No. 2 in Sochi, and a 68-year-old resident of Gulkevichi rayon.
All these patients had been suffering from a severe form of pneumonia, aggravated with a number of chronic diseases.
On that very day, 92 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the region.
On Saturday, six coronavirus patients died in the region. Three of them were 69-yearold dwellers of Kurganinsk, Krasnodar and Novorossiysk. Another lethal case was a 68-year-old resident of Temriuk rayon. Two other deaths were among younger people: women aged 48 and 53.
On Friday, four people were reported dead, three of whom were people aged 43 to 45. They had a severe form of pneumonia caused by pulmonary involvement.
