Showing Water Getaway Paths

Krasnodar, 27 August. Last week, Sochi Mayor visited parts of the city that are frequently subject to inundations. 

Earlier the team of experts held a monitoring which helped them identify nine weak points. During the inspection, heads of municipal departments and utility services gave reports on the work done. In particular, they reported that the engineering facilities are ready to the upcoming wet season. 

For instance, water had often reached the road at Fabricius street over the past five years. The experts did a telescopic survey and spotted an old nonworking storm sewer which will be restored in the near future. 

The broken storm sewer at Chebrikov street has already been repaired – but now it is necessary to clean the tumbling bay. 

“We have checked over 200 km of the water disposal system. A peculiar attention is being given to the social objects,” Director of the municipal unitary enterprise “Vodostok” (Sewer) Vladimir Nesterenko explained.
