Starominsky Rayon Suffers from Water Shortages

Krasnodar, 20 August. Two billion roubles have reportedly been addressed to the development of Starominsky rayon from the regional budget. 

Last week, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev visited the municipality to evaluate the progress of its development. 

By the level of socio-economic development, Starominsky rayon has risen from the 36th up to the 28th place in the region. The governor noted that the municipality has learnt how to invite the money from the regional budget – it takes an active part in regional programs, which makes it possible to develop all industrial branches and build social facilities. This year, the municipality will receive 715 million roubles. 

At the meeting with the governor, local residents raised the issue of water supply. They complained about frequent suspensions of water supply in the summer period. According to First Vice Governor Andrei Alekseyenko, a new water intake facility as a backup water source will soon be built in the municipality.
