Krasnodar, 20 August. The cargo turnover of the Tuapse Commercial Separt grew by 11.4% during the first six months of this year and reached 7.8 million tons. 

According to a report released by the seaport operator, the success has to a considerable extent depended upon the increased volume of transhipment of bulk oil cargoes which reached 3.9 million tons (+26.1% to the same period of 2019). The processing of dry cargoes remained at the level of 3.8 million tons, showing different dynamics on different cargo types. At the same time, shipments of steel coils tripled reaching 0.13 million tons. 

The transhipment of ferrous metals grew to 1.4 million tons. It compensated for the 6.9% decrease of coal transhipment (to 1.6 million tons). 

Over the first six months of the year, the Tuapse Grain Terminal exported 0.73 million tons of grain crops, or by 3.5% more than in the same period of 2019. Apart from the cargo volumes, the assortment of fruit and vegetable freight and the geography of trade currents also expanded, contributing to a 20% increase of the cargo turnover.
