Krasnodar, 31 July. Last week, the Adyghean leader Murat Kumpilov visited Dondukovsky Grain Elevator, one of the most progressive companies in the region.
General Director Magomet Bolokov reported that the total area under harvest in 2020 equals to 6,055 hectares. Most of the cultivated crops are winter wheat, which has already been reaped. This year, the yield of winter wheat was 6.42 tons per hectare, which was one of the highest figures in the region. The yield of winter oats was 5.5 tons per hectare. The company has also finished harvesting of rapeseed, whose yield was 3.41 tons per hectare.
Mr. Bolokov noted that the high yield of cereals had been achieved due to the use of advanced technologies and elite seed stock. Dondukovsky Grain Elevator has for many years been cooperating with Lukianenko National Grain Centre; this cooperation focused on variety testing of winter wheat and triticale. As for soya, a 347-hectare field was sown with first-reproduction seeds, which had a direct impact upon yield enhancement.
