Krasnodar, 9 June.
On June 12, Russia Day, about 40 activities and flash mobs will reportedly be performed in Krasnodar krai. Most of them will be held in online format and in social networks. Last week, volunteers began to hand out tricolour stripes to Kuban dwellers in food stores, pharmacies, and at filling stations. The list of the most interesting all-Russian activities of the day will be mapping – video projection of photographs of those who work risking their lives during the pandemic on the walls of some symbolic buildings, a graffiti festival, and others.
“Lots of events have been scheduled for the celebration of Russia Day for residents of all municipalities. This year, the format of many activities will be changed because of the coronavirus, but some traditional events, like hoisting the state flag, will be held offline,” the regional Department of Domestic Policy noted.
The program of the festivity will include a flash mob “Flags of Russia” – the tricolour will be placed in the windows and balconies of many houses. At noon, all residents will get a chance to sing the national anthem from their windows or balconies. The tune will be broadcast by all municipal and regional TV and radio channels.
