Krasnodar, 9 April. Measures to support businesses were reportedly discussed at a recent teleconference chaired over by Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov.

The participants of the conference discussed the possibility of expanding the list of the industries that suffered from the spread of coronavirus. Minister of Economy Aleksandr Ruppel proposed to add the shopping and entertaining sector to the list, meaning first of all to grant it postponement of rental payments. He added that the regional power discusses this issue with the owners of trade areas and banks, which is why they understand the necessity of taking comprehensive measures. According to Mr. Reshetnikov, according to the newest amendments to the Russian Tax Code, the country’s regions will be entitled to take decisions on postponements of property tax payments dates, which in its turn should allow the lessors to grant postponements on payment of rental fees.
