Krasnodar, 20 March. Krasnodar activists have reportedly proposed to open an up-to-date bus transfer platform in the centre of the city.
It may be located on the site of the ironmongery stalls of the Kolkhozny Market which is to be demolished in near future, however some buildings are private property and thus they may not be pulled down. Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov has instructed his office to study into the possibility of turning the outdoor sales points into a public transportation junction.
According to the concept of the project, the future coach terminal at Oktiabrskaya street may have a vast green zone, bus parking places, wide pavements, busstop pavilions, electronic boards displaying waiting time, and a traffic control station.
Besides, the city authorities are looking into a possibility of removing the illegal trade pavilions from the block at Kalinin street – from Rashpilevskaya to Oktiabrskaya streets. This road sector may be used as the entry and exit road to the coach terminal.
