Krasnodar, 29 January – Yug Times. According to the results of a competition held in 2019 among the customs offices of the Southern Customs Directorate, the customs checkpoint Krasnodar Airport of the Krasnodar Customs Office won in the nomination “Best team of the customs checkpoint in a different from automobile checkpoint (sea/ river, railroad, air).”
During the year, the officers of the checkpoint checked over 5,880 aircraft serving international flights and about 820,000 passengers. The foreign trade turnover in the region of the checkpoint’s activity exceeded USD 181 million; the commodity turnover exceeded 141,000 tons; about 2,700 bills of entry were issued; about 745 million roubles were paid to the federal budget.
In 2019, officers of the checkpoint filed 635 administrative cases and made up 6 reports of signs of criminal offences. The results shown by the checkpoint in restraining facts of non-declaring foreign currencies and monetary tools are worth special mark: last year, during customs control officers withdrew the equivalent of over 8 million roubles in Russian and foreign currencies.
“The main activity area of the checkpoint is customs operations for aircraft serving international flights, freights, and goods transferred by physical persons in their checked and hand luggage when crossing the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Checkpoint Director Pavel Barmanov said. “The closest attention is paid to the fight with smuggling, violation of the rules of customs and currency legislation, and assisting authorities in the fight with international terrorism.”
