Krasnodar, 8 January – Yug Times. In 2019, the profits of the Krasnodar Tramway and Trolleybus Administration reached their historical maximum.
The company earned 44 million roubles, which was the best achievement in its history.
Apart from that, the company considerably renewed its vehicle fleet.
“As for the improvement of the quality of work of public transport in Krasnodar, much more was done last year than in the previous ten years,” Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov commented. “In 2019, the largest rejuvenation of trams and trolleybuses began. We worked over several new tramways, but the most important thing was that we managed to pull the Tramway and Trolleybus Administration out from deep losses, in fact to quit a huge debt load and take to profits.”
According to Tramway and Trolleybus Administration Director Aleksandr Grachev, 35 new streetcars, including 31 single and 4 three-section ones, were bought last year. The previous suchlike rejuvenation of the car fleet took place 33 years ago.
Besides, 12 self-powered trolleybuses were bought for the city, of which two were purchased at the company’s cost.
