Krasnodar, 4 December – Yug Times. The construction of a large medical cluster in Krasnodar is to be completed by 2030.
The construction site is located in the north-eastern part of the city, near Znamensky and Zelenopolsky neighbourhoods. Presently, the first building of the future medical cluster is being erected - a cancer detection centre. The area of the future campus exceeds 57 hectares. The project provides for the construction of a transport corridor to connect the new cluster with the central part of the city.
Commenting on the project, the vice governor Anna Minkova said that it is “a new model of the public health care system that is currently being built up.”
The new medical cluster will reportedly include a new cancer detection centre with an outpatients’ department and a day patient facility, an emergency hospital with 150 rapid response crews working round the clock, a narcological dispensary with an outpatients’ department and a rehabilitation centre, an infectious diseases hospital, and a perinatal centre.
Ms. Minkova stressed that the region also needs other health care establishments to render highly qualified medical care to inhabitants of the entire region.
