Krasnodar, 4 December – Yug Times. The first self-powered trolleybuses appeared in Krasnodar streets on 1 December.
They ply along the route No. 15 from Dombaiskaya street to Krasnodar-1 railway terminal. The trolleybuses replaced the buses that used to run along this route.
Speaking at the presentation of the new vehicles, the mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov announced that the vehicle fleet renovation will continue in 2020 and 2021.
“Now we are reviewing the results of a big transport reform aimed at the renovation of our vehicle fleet,” he said. “Forty-seven new vehicles were bought this year - much more than over the past ten years - 12 new trolleybuses and 35 new trams, of which 31 were bought for Krasnodar. Most of them are already running along the city. This was the first stage of a big work aimed at the entire renovation of our road transport vehicles.”
