Krasnodar, 29 November – Yug Times. First variants of the project of construction of a new highway between Dzhubga and Sochi may be released by the end of this year, Russian minister of transport Yevgeni Ditrikh announced.
According to him, the Ministry may commence the discussion of the projects during the first quarter of 2020. What will be reviewed first of all is the detours of Sochi and Tuapse, as the sectors with the heaviest traffic.
Mr. Ditrikh also noted that the railroad laid along the Black Sea coast also needs an alternate. The Kuban governor Veniamin Kondratiev backed the idea of construction of a new highway to connect Sochi with the rest of the region and with other Russian regions.
Mr. Kondratiev also emphasised that Krasnodar province supports the idea of moving the railway outside the settlements.
“The removal of the railway from the coastline outside the settlements is really needed to develop our resorts and attract tourists,” he added.
The governor also noted that all these activities are needed first of all for the comfort of the Sochi dwellers and the visitors of the Black Sea resorts.
