Krasnodar, 1 November – Yug Times. The construction of a new traffic interchange at the entry to Maikop will reportedly be completed by this December.
The interchange is located on the main road leading to the regional capital from Krasnodar. The project also includes an overpass which will be part of the new motor road detouring Maikop.
The length of the new road sector is 10.5 km - from the existing highway Maikop - Ust-Labinsk - Korenovsk to the road Maikop - Giaginskaya - Psebai - Zelenchukskaya - Karachaevsk. The total cost of the project is 3.2 billion roubles. It also provides for the construction of a seven-kilometre-long road to the village of Proletarsky. As a result, the total length of the new road will be 26.3 km.
“The most part of the works has already been accomplished, and the construction of the interchange is ahead of schedule,” Valeri Kartamyshev, minister of construction, transport, housing and communal services and road facilities of the Republic of Adyghea said. “By the beginning of December, the overpass will be built, and the sector of the detour road adjoining it will be opened for traffic.”
