Krasnodar, 8 October – Yug Times. Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the launch of the three-waggon tipping device which is unique for the country so far. He was shown the unique process of coal unloading: the tipper may unload three waggons at once according to the ‘mill principle’. from the waggon, the load moves to the warehouse, and then – along a conveyor – into ship holds. The process is eco-friendly, for it uses a special water system that makes the dust settle.
The ceremony was also attended by the Presidential plenipotentiary in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov, and Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
During his visit, Mr. Putin was introduced to the operation of the port and industrial park owned by OTEKO Group of Companies.
The new facility is part of a comprehensive program of upgrading the transfer complex, that includes the construction of the Taman Grain Terminal and an industrial park. The latter is to accommodate chemical processing and manufacture factories, soya processing and mixed-fodder production facility, and a greenhouse complex.
The Company reported that it has already invested over 3.5 billion dollars in the development of the port infrastructure.
