Krasnodar, 17 September – Yug Times. The road repair works finished two months ahead of schedule this year in Krasnodar province. Over 240 km of roads were brought to the standard in three urban agglomerations and other parts of the region.
In Krasnodar, 67 km of roads were repaired; in Sochi – 85 km; in Novorossiysk – 14 km. As for the regional road network, the repair works also finished ahead of schedule at nine sectors of the total length of 77 km.
“Local people see these changes and note the improved quality of the roads and of their maintenance. But of course the main principle of the national project is safety improving. We are trying to install such system that should prevent lethal outcomes even in case of road accidents,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev was quoted as commenting on the report figures.
The national project called “Safe and high-quality motor roads” was launched this year. It is to last until 2024.
