Krasnodar, 6 September – Yug Times. The number of secondary school students in Krasnodar province has reportedly grown by 42,000 over the past three years.
At the cost of the federal and regional programs, and in the context of implementation of national projects, several new schools are built in the region every year. However, some schools remain overcrowded - one secondary schools in Krasnodar has as many as 35 first forms. Experts believe that this situation was caused by intensive migration processes, but at the same time it is resolvable.
Seven new schools, or 6,175 new student seats, have opened in Krasnodar province this year. The biggest schools - for 1,550 seats each - are located in Vostochno-Kruglikovsky and Moskovsky neighbourhoods of Krasnodar.
According to the regional Ministry of Education, about 72,000 first-graders will go to schools in the region this year. Most of them live in Krasnodar - 18,498 (by 1,358 more than last year), narrowly followed by Sochi, Anapa and Dinskoi rayon.
Aleksei Nekrasov, director of Krasnodar City Educational Department, first-graders will be studying in 583 forms of 91 schools. At the same time, the officials asserted that it would not be correct to state that many schools in Krasnodar have too many first grades - in fact, there are just several such schools, all of which consist of the main building and annexes and affiliates.
