Krasnodar, 23 August – Yug Times. The investigators decided that the accused had caused damage to the soils and environment in Krymsk rayon.
The Krymsk district branch of the Investigation Committee has reportedly completed a criminal case against General Director of the Troitsky Iodine Factory. He was accused of violation of the rules of storage of chemicals and waste that had caused environmental pollution. The investigators assumed that starting from 2017, the factory’s warehouse had stored outdated and unserviceable chemicals. As a result, the foundations and the exterior walls of the building were damaged. The investigators asserted that the director had known about the chemicals, but he had ordered his subordinates to pull down the building – so the chemicals appeared outdoors, on a 135-square-metre land plot and contaminated the soil with sulphuric waste.
The Prosecutor’s inspection proved that General Director’s activities had caused harm to the environment and the fertile layer of the soil, and caused a material damage to the amount of 405,000 roubles to the regional department of the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo).
