Krasnodar, 21 August – Yug Times. By the end of this year, 547 lifts are to be replaced in residential blocks in the Kuban region, including about a hundred in Krasnodar. So far, only 34 new cabins have been installed (17%) – it means that there are 513 more get installed in 183 residential blocks, mostly in Krasnodar, Sochi and Novorossiysk. The work is being done in the context of the regional program of structural repairs. Krasnodar dwellers are concerned that it may take over four months to replace the lift in their house. The supervisory authorities stated that the contractor should bear millions-worth losses for all delays. However, according to the Capital Repairs Fund, an average duration of the replacement work varies from 45 to 120 calendar days, the delays happening mostly because of the contractors. Experts of the Fund also noted that the technical customer and the construction control agency are watching the observance of the deadlines.
According to the city housing service company, by the end of this year they plan to repair the lifts in 119 blocks.
“In 56 blocks, the lift equipment has been fully replaced; the work continues in 63 other houses. There are some difficult sites, where the delays are related to the contractor’s bad work – for instance, blocks at 174, Stavropolskaya street, 12/1 and 22, 70 Let Oktiabria street, where the delays last for over 1.5 months. As for now, the contractor must pay penalties for more than 10 million roubles,” the company spokesperson mentioned.
