Krasnodar, 2 August – Yug Times. Dwellers of Krasnodar have joined in the discussion of the landscaping concept of Narodny Park.
At a recent meeting with the city architectural authority, inhabitants of the Komsomolsky residential neighbourhood submitted their proposals for the landscaping design of Karasunsky Gardens. In particular, they asked to provide for a bike lane in the park that will pass across the green zone and unite the embankment of the Karasun Lakes into one pedestrian network.
The locals also supported the idea of a pump-track – a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden by riders “pumping” – generating momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedalling. The track is to be inserted into the natural relief.
“The architects have tried to take account of the local people’s wish to leave the nature as it is,” City Architect Natalia Mashtalir stressed. “What in fact we want to do is a so-called eco-park.”
