Krasnodar, 26 July – Yug Times. A new city concept will reportedly be developed in Gelendzhik in the framework of the national project, Housing and Urban Environment, to prolong the beach promenade.
“The bedroom districts used to be neglected [in the city], in some cases they used to be built up without the necessary social infrastructure,” Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said.
“People have quite plain criteria of comfortable living in blocks of flats – how easy it is to get there, where to go with the kids, where to walk, and what to see.”
What Gelendzhik also needs is new recreation sites.
For instance, the block between Solntsedarskaya and Turisticheskaya streets will be landscaped and turned into a public site with a park, school, kindergarten, skating rink and sport complex.
All these areas will be joined with new motor roads and pedestrian zones.
