Krasnodar, 23 July – Yug Times. The regional authorities have reportedly inspected the progress of repair works of Krasnodar streets, and then held a meeting to assess their results.
At first, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Facilities Andrei Konovalov controlled the repair works in Geologicheskaya street. “The street is a little bit more than a kilometre long, but it does not mean that such object are less important than downtown roads. The new roadbed corresponds to all modern requirements, so that the traffic of vehicles and pedestrians will be more comfortable here,” Mr. Konovalov stressed.
Then a discussion followed which was held in the context of the fulfilment of the project, “Safe and high-quality motor roads.” The meeting was attended by regional and municipal officials, road police officers and technical inspectors. Yevgeni Zaitsev, Director of Krasnodaravtodor, the company responsible for the construction of roads in the region, reported on the progress of work at such major objects as Krasnaya, Starokubanskaya, Sromovskaya, Stavropolskaya, Novokuznechnaya and Gavrilov streets.
