Krasnodar, 7 June – Yug Times. A web drama is reportedly being filmed in Krasnodar, entitled Emergency Investigation.
This is a film version of the book under the same title written by Andrei Faniev, a retired police lieutenant colonel. Faniev says that an idea to write a detective novel came out of the Detective Yekaterinodar project, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian police.
“There were criminal gangs in the Kuban region that were notorious throughout the country. But now nobody knows anything about them, nor about the officers who risked their lives to solve intricate crimes. That was why I decided to write a historical detective novel, based on real events,” Mr. Faniev says.
Then he met Aleksandr Vivcharov, a known film director, who proposed to film a web drama on the basis of his film. The film will be broadcast on the Internet. Emergency Investigation is an excellent example of how a popular serial can be shot with a huge desire and zero budget.
