Krasnodar, 5 June – Yug Times. From June 15, repair works will begin at two Krasnodar bridges – Suvorovsky and Yablonovsky.
The Suvorovsky overpass will undergo a large-scale reconstruction in the context of the national project, Safe and High-Quality Motor Roads. The works include laying of a new asphalt covering, reinforcing of the load-carrying structures, replacing of the pavements and kerbs.
“While planning the repair works, we bear in mind that [this bridge] is an entry to the city from the south, with quite a heavy traffic,” Vladimir Arkhipov, director of the city Department for Transport and Road Facilities, said. “But the repair is a long-felt need – we need to reinforce the load-carrying structures and to replace the roadbed.”
The traffic along the Suvorovsky bridge will be limited during the repair works.
As for the Yablonovsky bridge, the repairers will install three-metrehigh metal clearance gauges on the both ends of the bridge to restrict the height of the vehicles passing it. The new traffic mode will be enacted in July.
