Krasnodar, 24 April – Yug Times. The annual 22nd exhibition of wines and alcohol beverages, Vinorus, was held in Krasnodar on April 16–17. Nearly sixty wineries came to this biggest wine show in southern Russia to present their wines. The exhibition summoned participants from Kuban, Crimea, Rostov and Stavropol regions, and Derbent, Daghestan.
A new trend has appeared in the industry: to launch an umbrella brand to unite different wineries oriented at the same target audience. Delta Club Company whose brand New Russian Wine unites best wines of the moderate price category, may be an example of such trend. In 2017, four wines by Yubileinaya performed under this brand; in 2018, two more wines by Sauk Dere Winery were added to it. All New Russian Wine products are crafted only from local grapes and classified as ‘wines of protected geographical indication’ and ‘wines of protected appellation of origin.’
