Krasnodar, 4 April – Yug Times. The regional project, Export of Services, is intended to attract additional tourists to the Kuban region. What is at issue is facilitation of the visa regime, certification and adaptation of services to the requirements of international markets, expansion of the Tax Free system, and introduction of a single method of counting of the number of tourists.
These issues were discussed at a meeting with tourist operators held last week at the regional Ministry of Resorts. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Svetlana Balaeva noted that 17 million tourists visited Kuban resorts in 2018; according to the Strategy of development, in 2030 their number is to reach 22 million.
Roman Vorotnikov, Director of the regional Centre for Coordinative Support of Exports, said that participation in global tourism exhibitions is an efficient tool of promotion of tourist services in the international markets.
The tourist operators stated that a legal possibility of issuing electronic visas through travel agencies may be a good way to attract foreign tourists.
