Krasnodar, 3 April – Yug Times. A delegation of Kuban journalists has reportedly visited the Antalya province, the main centre of tourism in Turkey. The tour was reportedly organised by the Consulate General of Turkey in Novorossiysk and Moscow and Turkish offices of ANEX Tour travel agency.
A group of The Yug Times journalists visited the city of Antalya – a seaside resort and an important port of Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, an ancient Anatolian city of Perge, St. Nicholas’ Church in Myra (now Demre), an ancient rocky town of the dead, an ancient Greek amphitheatre for 10,000 spectators, Kekova Isle, and an ancient town of Simena. The delegation was also introduced to the gastronomic masterpieces of Turkish cuisine, experienced the charms of the Mediterranean na
ture and Turkish hospitality, and learnt a lot about the customs and history of this land.
Turkey is a country that is ready to offer everything: from recreation to submersion in history. And this friendship should be maintained and developed. Mr. Yunus Emre Özigci, Consul General in Novorossiysk, noted that tourism is much more than merely a work – it favours the fast-developing relations between our countries and helps us better know each other. In his turn, Antalya Governor Münir Karaloğlu expressed his hope that the holidaymakers coming to Turkey will be interested not only in beach recreation but also in culture, cuisine and other kinds of tourist attractions that Turkey is offering to its guests.
