Krasnodar, 19 March – Yug Times. Volunteers will reportedly help Kuban people to adjust their televisions to digital broadcasting.
The first training seminar was held in Krasnodar last Friday. The volunteers had a chance to talk with Head of the regional Department for Information Policy Vladimir Prigoda and Director of the Krasnodar regional radio and television broadcasting centre Aleksandr Zolotov.
Federal TV channels will be transmitted in digital regime starting from June 3. It will be part of the third wave of digitalisation of national broadcasting services.
“We understand that this process may be hard for elderly people, which is why the region will help all who will need help,” Mr. Prigoda stressed. “We have a strong and well-developed volunteer movement in the Kuban region, with a working experience at many global events. The training course for the first group of volunteers has begun.”
