Krasnodar, 7 March – Yug Times. The Regional centre for volunteering development for representatives of mature age was opened in Krasnodar on February 26.
The newly-founded Silver Age Academy is meant to create a branchy network of groups of volunteers in all major municipalities of the Krasnodar region, and to improve their coordination. The first seminar for the supervisors of ‘silver-age volunteering’ showing how to organise the activities at the local level was, by the way, held in the context of its opening ceremony. Addressing the audience, State Duma deputy Natalia Kostenko expressed her confidence that the new organisation will make the volunteering movement broader and stronger.
