Krasnodar, 5 March – Yug Times. Medical doctors of the 3Z (“Three-Z”) vision care clinic are explaining what laser sight correction is and how it allows the patients to get rid of spectacles and lenses.
Every year over 30,000 patients aged 18-45 come to the 3Z clinics and diagnostic centres; 70% of them have a diagnosis of myopia (short-sightedness) and astigmatism. Doctors know that for certain diagnoses laser correction is the only way to forget about spectacles and lenses.
At the end of 2017, the 3Z Group of Companies performed a research. They summoned focusgroups of 18-35-year-old patients with sight problems. The results of the research analysed last year helped formulate a list of the main problems and stresses experienced by people with poor eyesight. It included discomfort, deterioration of life quality, impossibility to function normally without alien attributes, and restrictions for some activities.
“We actively use gadgets and computers and study them, but for some reasons we do not study the possibilities of our organism - and this is a global problem of the humankind,” Aleksandr Boiko, senior ophthalmologist of the 3Z clinic that has performed over 30,000 operations during 30 years of his medical practice, notes.
Dr. Boiko says that ReLEx SMILE is the most advanced technology of laser correction of sight. It allows to perform sight correction with as least intervention as possible - the size of the incision in the cornea is just 4 mm, and the average duration of the cornea’s exposure to laser is only 27 seconds.
Many people believe that an operation is something horrible and painful, and that in a certain while the eyesight may again get worse.
