Krasnodar, 5 March – Yug Times. Vice Governor Sergei Boldin has reportedly chaired a meeting dedicated to the issue of building a ‘green frame’ of the city of Krasnodar, and development of the Sunny Island park and Big Island.
The first item to discuss was the revised concept of the so-called green frame developed by the city Department for architecture and urban development on the basis of activists’ proposals. Currently, the Department works on the roadmap that will facilitate its fulfilment.
“We have to expand the recreational forest belt: we should think of including Bulgarian Island and a land plot in Yelizavetinskaya into it,” Mr. Boldin said addressing Krasnodar Vice Mayor Vladislav Stavitsky. “Please organise a meeting with public activists and give us their proposals on the areas that may be included in the [green] zone.”
According to the plan, Sunny Island will include an amusement park, amphitheatre, football pitch, skate-park, eco-centre with lecture-hall and arts school, planetarium, and many other facilities.
