Krasnodar, 19 February – Yug Times. Last week, the Krasnodar region for the first time in its history celebrated the professional holiday of cattle-breeders, one of the best developing segments of the regional agricultural complex.
The solemn ceremony was attended by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, Chair of the Legislative Assembly Yuri Burlachko, Senator Vladimir Beketov, and other officials.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Kondratiev noted that stockbreeding has experienced many hardships but currently it has received the second wind.
The Kuban region became the third top region in milk production. Besides, the year 2018 was a year of rebirth for pig-breeding - with new investments, new farms and growth of the livestock. As for poultry farming, the Kuban region came fourth nationwide in egg production, and fifth in meat production.
The best workers were awarded with honorary prizes. The official ceremony was followed by a concert of leading Kuban artists.
