Krasnodar, 15 February – Yug Times. During his visit to Sochi last week, Ataman of the Kuban Cossack Host Nikolai Doluda traditionally called on the kindergarten No. 83 in Khosta. Speaking there, Mr. Doluda was quoted as saying that there must be more Cossack schools and kindergartens in Sochi. He also presented the little artists from Kubanochka ensemble with new Cossack uniform and toy Cossack sabres. This kindergarten was the first in Sochi to have opened a Cossack group to bring up kinds in the best traditions of their ancestors. It happened in 2009, and now the kindergarten was granted the status of a Cossack educational establishment. Its pupils of the pre-school rooms are introduced to the history, customs and traditions of Kuban Cossack, learn the basics of Orthodox culture. The yard of the kindergarten presents a stylised Cossack household, with a Cossack hut, a little chapel and a vegetable garden.

When Nikolai Doluda invited the pupils and their teachers to Krasnodar to attend the Cossack parade to be held there on 20 April, the kids dashed to him from all sides and began to hug him and jump with joy, for that - as they acknowledged later - had been their most cherished dream. And what is most important, the kids will be visiting the parade in full dress and with the toy - but still Cossack — sabres.
