Krasnodar, 30 January – Yug Times. Experts of the regional Investigating Department continue to uncover Kuban dwellers that are looking for easy and illegal income.
In the past few months, new facts of office abuses and frauds have become uncovered. Kuban investigators have detected a number of crimes, whose price may be measured in dozens of millions of roubles and long years of imprisonment.
Say, a former main specialist and deputy director of the Main Construction Directorate of the Krasnodar region will soon be facing charges of abuse of power during the construction of the perinatal centre in Sochi. According to the investigation, in 2014-2016 the said Directorate had concluded public contracts with a contractor for the fulfilment of construction and assembly work. Then, in 2016 the above mentioned main specialist signed an overcharged acceptance report for the water supply, sewage disposal, ventilation and heating installations that had not been fulfilled. Later, the deputy director of the Directorate abused office and countersigned certificates that proved the prices of the allegedly fulfilled works. As a result, the contractor was unlawfully paid over 40 million roubles from the regional budget. Following the negligence of the ex main specialist, the regional budget had lost more than 270 million roubles. Presently, the criminal case supported with the indictment signed by the prosecutor has been forwarded to court.
