Krasnodar, 29 January – Yug Times. Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev has reportedly discussed with the businessman Sergei Galitsky the capital reconstruction of the Aurora cinema theatre in Krasnodar.
“Aurora is one of Krasnodar’s landmarks, and the main wish of fellow townspeople is that the cinema should preserve its functions and the unique architecture,” Mr. Kondratiev noted. “After the reconstruction, Aurora will become a modern cinema and concert hall at full disposal of the townsfolk.”
The outside architectural appearance of the theatre will not change, and trees and gardens will be planted in the adjacent territory, Mr. Galitsky stated.
“We will take into consideration our fellow townspeople’s opinions, so that we will be dealing carefully with the architectural forms of the movie theatre,“ he said. “As soon as the building has been transferred to our management, we will need some eight to nine months to prepare the project documentation, and then the [repair] works will start. Our experts are already examining the world’s best cinema theatres to let Aurora acquire a stateof-the-art appearance and remain recognisable at the same time.”
